Frequently Asked Questions

How and when will I be notified that I have received a scholarship?
While the majority of our scholarships are awarded prior to the start of the school year, we continue to award scholarships on a rolling basis as funds become available. All communication regarding scholarships will be via your WCSU email address.

Can I still apply for scholarships if I am not eligible to complete either the FAFSA or AACTUS?
Yes, please be sure to email wcsufinancialaid@wcsu.edu with the subject line “Scholarship Eligibility” to let us know your situation regarding these financial aid applications.

Is there a maximum amount of scholarships that I can receive during one school year?
Yes – a student’s grants and scholarships combined amounts cannot exceed direct, university-billed costs of Tuition and Fees, Room and Board (for those living on campus) and an allowable and established allocation of books as listed in the annual Cost of Attendance.

How do I know which scholarships to apply to?
Please log in and complete the general application. You will automatically be applied to any scholarship that you are eligible for. If any of those scholarships require an additional questionnaire or essay, you will be directed to complete and submit these additional requirements.
