Melissa Hagman Endowed Scholarship

Fall 2024 and Spring 2025

This scholarship was created by Dr. Erland & Irene Hagman for the benefit of providing scholarships to Chemistry majors at Western Connecticut State University. Dr. Hagman established this scholarship in honor of his daughter, Melissa, who graduated from WCSU in 2011 with a BA degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry as well as in recognition of her work accomplishments within the pharmaceutical field. This scholarship will be awarded to full time undergraduate students majoring in Chemistry who have 70 credits or more with 40 of those being completed at WCSU. The student must also have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.2 for “core classes”.
