Melissa Hagman Endowed Scholarship

Fall 2026 and Spring 2027

This scholarship was created by Dr. Erland & Irene Hagman for the benefit of providing scholarships to Chemistry majors at Western Connecticut State University. Dr. Hagman established this scholarship in honor of his daughter, Melissa, who graduated from WCSU in 2011 with a BA degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry as well as in recognition of her work accomplishments within the pharmaceutical field. This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry with senior standing who has the highest GPA. If additional funds are available, they are to be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry who has senior standing and the next highest GPA.
