Dianna Strobino Poodiack Foundation Scholarship

Fall 2026 and Spring 2027

Dianna Strobino Poodiack ’69 established a scholarship at WCSU to help first-generation students, like herself, afford college and enable them to start their own educational journey. The scholarship was created to assist first generation Western Connecticut State University students who have junior status are full time, have completed 24 or more credits at WCSU, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher, and demonstrate financial need. To be considered as a finalist, all qualified applicants must submit a short essay answering the question: “Personally, what does it mean to be a First Generation student?”
