The Dave Smith Scholarship Fund

Fall 2025 and Spring 2026

The Dave Smith Scholarship Fund Endowment was created in 2019 with donations from alumni and colleagues of Dave Smith, percussion professor at Western Connecticut State University for 47 years. Mr. Smith’s musical and pedagogical excellence, kindness, and generosity have impacted countless musicians throughout the area and beyond since 1970. This scholarship is funded in gratitude for his years or service to the WCSU community, to create a lasting impact for current and future students.
