Patrick Ryan Scholarship for Literary Citizenship

Fall 2025 and Spring 2026

This scholarship was created in the memory of Dr. Patrick Ryan, professor Emeriti and former Chair of the Department of Writing, Linguistics, and Creative Process to provide financial assistance to students attending Western Connecticut State University. Eligibility preferences are for undergraduate students majoring in the BA in Professional Writing degree, have successfully completed a minimum of 60 credits at WCSU, and have a minimum GPA of 3.25. The selected candidate should also exhibit building a literary community on campus.
